Institute of Dance Artistry is a school of modern, ballet, pointe, jazz, tap, lyrical, and hip-hop dance.

The studio offers a quality dance education in a supportive environment. Students of IDA are given the tools to develop strong dance technique, artistic ability, self-confidence, and passion for the art of dance.  IDA is committed to excellence in dance education by developing students as individuals with unique talents and abilities.


All dance classes are taught by young, enthusiastic professionals with Bachelor of Fine Arts degrees in dance and current professional performers and choreographers on the Philadelphia dance scene.

IDA's Repertory Companies provide great opportunities for serious and accomplished dance students to work with variuos professional choreographers and perform  throughout the dance season.

Jamie Lipskin has a B.F.A. in dance from Temple University with concentrations in modern and ballet.  She is the owner and director of Institute of Dance Artistry.  She is also the director of the IDA Repertory Companies and has worked to form a strong relationship between Institute of Dance Artistry and the Philadelphia professional dance community.  She produces the Generations Dance Concert series featuring student and professional dancers helping raise money for pediatric cancer.  Jamie has performed with various dance companies and independent choreographers in the Philadelphia area.  Jamie has performed in many venues throughout Philadelphia including the Arts Bank, Drake Theatre, International House, Meetinghouse Theatre, Conwell Dance Theatre, Merriam Theater and Society Hill Playhouse as well as in several Philadelphia Fringe Festivals.  In addition, Jamie has started pre-school dance programs at several schools in Montgomery County and continues to choreograph youth musical theater productions with Young Starrs Theater Company.  Jamie and IDA are committed to excellence in dance education by developing students as individuals with unique talents and abilities.

Dominick Boyd was born and raised in the Bronx, New York where hip-hop was created.  As a teen Dominick began break-dancing and then branched off into a hip-hop style called Boogieing.  Dominick soon began teaching and performing with performing arts center Teens In Motion and the Borough of Manhattan College. 

Dominick then moved on to choreograph for and perform with various pop music superstars.  In 2001-02 he choreographed and performed in the Alicia Keys "Songs In A Minor" tour as well as performing at the 2001 Grammy Awards.  In addition, Dominick choreographed for and performed with pop star Omarion, and R&B group 112 at the 2001 NBA All-Star Weekend.  He began teaching hip-hop to inner-city children from the New York Housing Authority at this time as well.  It was then that Dominick realized his love for creating dance and watching it come to life.

Dominick moved to Allentown in 2003 and began fusing jazz with his own style of hip-hop calling the form "urban creativity."  Dominick now teaches at various high schools and dance studios in the Lehigh Valley and has taught master classes at Penn State University and Lehigh Valley College.  He also teaches hip-hop to inner-city children of Allentown through the Xcape project.  Dominick has taught hip-hop at IDA for 2 years.

Dominick has won numerous awards for his choreography including the Co-dance Choreography Award and the Cathy Roe Entertainment Award.  In addition to teaching and choreographing, Dominick continues to perform professionally most recently with Neil Young at Hershey's Stadium and with Sugar Hill Gang at 2006 Musicfest where he also performed with hip-hop choreographer/dancer Clyde Evans.  In 2007 Dominick choreographed and performed with Xcape at the halftime show of Giant Stadium's Drumline event.

Kelli Moshen is an alumna of IDA.  She is a Jazz Dance Performance major at University of the Arts in Philadelphia and is currently in her senior year.  Kelli is professionally trained in jazz, hip-hop, modern, and ballet.  She continues to study by taking classes in Los Angeles at Millenium Dance Complex and in New York City at Broadway Dance Center.  Kelli has worked with and performed for several choreographers including Rennie Harris, Wayne St. David, and Molly Misgalla.  Kelli has performed and choreographed throughout Philadelphia in Philly Fringe Festivals and at the Merriam and Drake Theaters.  In addition to being a dance instructor, Kelli emcees Bar and Bat Mitzvahs for Eddie Bruce Entertainment (EBE).

Amy Smith graduated with a BFA in dance from Temple University with concentrations in modern, jazz, and ballet. Amy has worked for 3 years at the Pennsylvania Governor's School for the Arts where she was formerly a modern dance scholarship student. Amy has also studied with many independent choreographers such as Mike Shulster, George Alley, Michelle Van Doeren, Tim Early, and Derrick Yanford, along with directing and choreographing for her own dance company, The AccoMpanY Dancers, who have performed in Atlantic City as well as throughout New Jersey and Pennsylvania.  She has taken master classes with Derick Grant, Bob Rizzo, Meghan Braun, Shimon Braun, Mia Michels, Dan Karaty, Gil Stroming, and Mike Minery.

Amy continues to choreograph, perform, and educate in the tri-state area.  She is a member of the TapOle Dance Company which most recently performed a full-length concert at the Kraine Theater in New York.  She is also a featured tap dancer with the Call Me Crazy Orchestra and will be choreographing and performing for their show in the 2008 Philadelphia Fringe Festival.  In the 2007 Philly Fringe Festival Amy was a tap dancer and chorus member of the original musical, The Jingle Man.  Amy has taught at IDA for 4 years.

Rebecca Farrell has been a full-time instructor at IDA for 7 years.  She is a graduate from University of the Arts with a B.F.A. in Jazz Dance Performance.  She has performed with several different dance companies in Philadelphia including Junto Society Dance Collective, Venus Dance and Flow. 

Rebecca has also performed professionally with New Jersey's Surflight Theater in musical theater productions.  Some of her leading roles include Belle in "Beauty and the Beast", Wendy in "Peter Pan", Cinderella in "Cinderella", and Glinda in "Wizard of Oz." She has been a featured dancer in "Damn Yankees," "La Cage Aux Folles," "Cabaret," and "Fiddler on the Roof."  Rebecca was also a principle dancer in Cygnus Contemporary Dance Company where she performed in the corps de ballet in "Coppelia," "Cinderella," and "Faust" with memebrs of the Metropolitan Opera in New York City.



Sarah Dziomba has a B.F.A. in dance from Temple University.  She grew up performing and competing across the country.  She has won numerous national competition titles, performed in the Remember Project at Saint Mark's Dancespace in New York City, and performed in community theater productions such as "Cabaret" and "Grease."  She has trained under many teachers including Sam Fiorello, Debbie Dee, Sarah Jo Fazio, Steven Boyd, Gus Giordano, and Frank Hatchett. 

Sarah earned her B.F.A. degree in Dance Choreography and Performance, with a concentration in jazz dance from Temple University.  While at Temple, Sarah presented her own choreography at the American College Dance Festival, performed in the Philadelphia Fringe Festival, and worked with choreographers such as Mina Estrada, Michael Keeler, Ashley Suttlar, Michael Roberts, and Amy Smith.  She continues to choreograph and perform and is excited to be a part of the IDA faculty.  Sarah has taught at IDA for 2 years.

Lindsay Miller is a graduate of DeSales University holding her BA in Dance after having received a scholarship into the program.  Lindsay is trained in all genres of dance.  Lindsay toured the Lehigh Valley with the DSU Dance Touring Company and had her modern choreography featured in DeSales Young Choreographer's Series.  She also participated in the Sean Curran residency and performed his work as well as performed at American College Dance Festival.  She attended Pro-Danza Italia/ USA Summer Dance Workshop in Tuscany, Italy and studied with various dance professionals while abroad. 

Lindsay has attended the Dance Teacher Summer Conference in NYC and the Robert Battle Intensive.  She teachers at various dance studios and dances professionally with Vada Dance Collective and ContempraDance Theatre.  Lindsay choreographs for the ContempraDance Youth Ensemble and is Head Coach of Temple University's Diamond Gems Dance Team.  Lindsay is also a part-time Health Fitness Specialist for MediFit Corp.  Lindsay looks forward to continuing her dance career as a performer, choreographer, and educator for years to come!
