Jamie Lipskin, Director, BFA Dance, Teaches Various Classes

Jamie Lipskin is the founder and director of Institute of Dance Artistry. She has a B.F.A. in dance from Temple University with concentrations in modern and ballet. She is also the director of the IDA Repertory Companies and has worked to form a strong relationship between Institute of Dance Artistry and the Philadelphia professional dance community.
Jamie produces the Generations Dance Concert series featuring student and professional dancers helping raise money for various charities. Her choreography has been selected and performed at the Koresh Artists Showcase, Inhale Performance Series, and Philadelphia Youth Dance Festival. She also is a musical theater choreographer and has staged many great dance shows including West Side Story, Cabaret, Spring Awakening, and A Chorus Line. Jamie has performed with various dance companies and independent choreographers in the Philadelphia area in many venues including the Arts Bank, Drake Theatre, International House, Meetinghouse Theatre, Conwell Dance Theatre, Merriam Theater and Society Hill Playhouse as well as in several Philadelphia Fringe Festivals.
Jamie’s number one passion is teaching dance. She believes in creating a lively, energetic environment where students work hard to achieve their absolute best while generating an excitement and enthusiasm for the art of dance.
