Jess Adams, BFA Dance, Teaches Various Classes

Jess Adams is a performing artist from Oreland, Pennsylvania. After receiving her BFA in Dance from The University of the Arts in 2016, she worked as a dancer/aerialist for Norwegian Cruise Lines, touring the Panama Canal, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Guatemala, Mexico, Alaska and Canada. Afterwards, Jess returned to Philadelphia, presented her own solo choreography and performed as a freelance artist for Jim Bunting Dance Company and Kevin Sullivan and Dancers. Since 2017 Jess has performed and taught for Almanac Dance Circus Theatre in Philadelphia, at venues such as The New York Botanical Gardens, the PMA and the Philadelphia Convention Center. The following year she joined Brian Sanders’ JUNK. With JUNK she performed in several Fringe Arts shows, made her debut at the Kimmel Center with the Philadelphia Orchestra (March 2019), performed a solo in Out of The Darkness and collaborated with the Philadelphia Orchestra again in Carmen (2020). In 2018, Jess also joined Project Moshen as a company dancer in Philadelphia’s all-female contemporary/jazz company, performing at the Fillmore, Mutter Museum and other Philadelphia theatres. In fall 2020, she premiered in the official music video for We Rule the Night by Matthew Schuler (American Singer, The Voice Season 5). She continues her education in movement, training in aerials, hand balancing, acrobatics, and fitness. Jess is incredibly grateful to be a part of three different Philadelphia companies, while choreographing and teaching several styles of dance and fitness classes (virtually and in-person) throughout PA. With over 10 years of teaching experience, she is happy to have found a home at IDA. Jess absolutely loves teaching here and is so proud to be a part of an inspiring community of teachers/choreographers/dancers!
