Kelly Trevlyn, BFA Dance, Teaches Various Classes
Kelly Trevlyn grew up in Media, PA and began her dance training at a young age at the Rock School West in West Chester, PA studying all styles from ballet to hip hop. She later attended Point Park University in Pittsburgh, PA to further her education and graduated with a BA in Dance in 2013. During her time at Point Park, Kelly had the opportunity to perform original works by world renowned choreographers such a Sidra Bell, Christopher Huggins, Garfield Lemonius, Ron Tassone, and Patrick Franz, as well as explore her own choreographic ideas.
Upon graduating, Kelly joined Dissonance Dance Theatre and Deviated Theatre as a company member in Washington, DC. In 2014 she joined Brian Sanders’ JUNK, a physical theatre dance troupe, in Philadelphia, where she began utilizing her classical dance training to explore various forms of performance including aerial dance and prop work. With JUNK, she has performed annually in the Philadelphia Fringe Festival as well as toured the country with various programs. In 2015 JUNK appeared on TRUTV’s series Fake Off Season 2 where they competed and won a spot in the semi finals. Also in 2015, she had the opportunity to perform excerpts of JUNKs’ upcoming Fringe production at Jacob’s Pillow Inside-Out Theatre. In 2018 the troupe performed along side the Philadelphia Orchestra at the Kimmel Center for their production of Romeo and Juliet, and again virtually in 2021 where Kelly starred as Carmen in Carmen.
Kelly is also a performer with Matter Movement Group and Gunnar Montana Productions, both of which she has been featured in Fringe Festival productions and local performances. Past performances and collaborations as a guest artist include Sharp Dance Company and Nickerson-Rossi Dance.
